MCLENDON EXTENDED 2+2 SCHOLARSHIP

The McLendon Extended Two-Year Scholarship is for a student that has previously received a McLendon Educational Trust Scholarship at Chipola College. The McLendon Extended Two-Year Scholarship will be for a student’s Junior and Senior years of college beyond Chipola and will cover in-state tuition and books up to $7,200.00 for each year. The purpose of this scholarship is to reward up to 4 McLendon Educational Trust Scholarship recipients that have excelled both academically and in leadership activities while at Chipola. The scholarship selection process will be based on grade point average as well as campus activities, community activities, and other leadership activities that students may be involved in while at Chipola. Applicants must outline their activities in the letter that is submitted with the application. Arrangements will be made with the recipients chosen college or university for a transfer of funds for his/her tuition and books. At the end of the recipient’s Junior year, he/she will submit his/her grades to the Foundation and will be required to have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or greater in order to receive additional funding toward his/her Senior year. If the recipient of the McLendon Extended Two-Year Scholarship plans to continue his/her education out-of-state or at a private college, the scholarship award amount will not increase.
