MELLIE MCDANIEL-OPTIMIST CLUB OF JACKSON COUNTY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Partial tuition and/or books scholarship to applicant that is the child or grandchild of a law enforcement officer, corrections officer or an emergency responder (EMT, Paramedic, Firefighter) and is a resident of the 14th Judicial Circuit (Washington, Holmes, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf or Bay counties), will consider applicants that are enrolling in academic or workforce development programs of study, must have 2.0 high school gpa and maintain 2.75 gpa each semester at Chipola College, must be a full-time student, applicant must show evidence of participation and leadership in school and community activities. Applicant will also need two letters of recommendation from a non-relative. Top applicants will be interviewed by the OCOJC scholarship committee, and applicant must follow standard college requirements.
